Vanguard Australian Shares Index ETF is an exchange traded fund launched and managed by Vanguard Investments Australia Ltd. It invests in the public equity markets of Australia. The fund seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It also invests some portion of its portfolio in property trusts. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P/ASX 300 Index, by investing in the stocks of companies as per their weightings in the index.
