It is co-managed by Blackrock Financial Management Inc., BlackRock (Singapore) Limited, and BlackRock Advisors (UK) Limited. The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the emerging countries across the globe. It invests in the US dollar denominated, fixed and floating rate instruments issued by sovereign and quasi-sovereign entities. The fund invests in bonds with a minimum maturity of 2 years. It seeks to replicate the performance of the J.P.Morgan EMBI Global Core Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as iShares II Public Limited Company - iShares J.P. Morgan $ Emerging Markets Bond Fund. iShares J.P.
