It operates through two segments, Space Services (SPA) and Smart Solutions (SOL). The Space Services segment provides satellite communication solutions for government and mission-critical applications; reliable mobility and communication solutions; and high-speed data connectivity solutions.

The Smart Solutions segment offers earth observation and geospatial solutions using Space42’s AI-driven multi-intelligence platform, GIQ, which integrates data from space and ground assets.

The company was formerly known as Bayanat AI PLC and changed its name to Space42 PLC in October 2024.

Space42 PLC was incorporated in 2022 and is based in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. Space42 PLC operates as a subsidiary of Group 42 Holding LTD.
