National Insurance Company provides various insurance products and services to the public and private sectors in Jordan, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, America, and the Near East.

It operates through General Insurance and Life Insurance segments. The company offers property insurance comprising fire and allied perils insurance burglary, plate glass, property all risk, and home and business guard policies, as well as political violence coverage, which includes terrorism business interruption; general insurance consisting of group and personal accidents, public and general liability, workmen’s compensation, fidelity guarantee, money insurance, banker’s blanket bond, and professional indemnity; motor insurance, including material damage and third-party liability; and travel insurance, which covers medical and hospitalization cases, loss of baggage repatriation, repatriation of the corpse upon the death of the beneficiary, trip cancellation, and COVID-19.

It also provides individual and group medical and life insurance; engineering insurance comprising electronic equipment, boiler and cooler installation, machine breakdown, and all installation risks insurance; all risks, jewelry, and home insurance; cybersecurity, employers’ liability, civil liability of airports, product liability, managers’ and officials’ liability, event cancellation, and worker accident insurance; financial loss, comprehensive bank coverage, cash, glass panel, cybercrime, kidnapping and ransom, breach of trust, and aviation insurance; marine insurance, such as hull and marine cargo; border crossing, orange card, and bus insurance; and reinsurance products.

The company was formerly known as The National Ahlia Insurance Company and changed its name to National Insurance Company in July 2007.

National Insurance Company was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Amman, Jordan.
