The company operates in two segments, Content and Services. The Content segment acquires licensing rights to feature films, series, documentaries, and other entertainment programs.

This segment also develops and produces films, together with co-production partners, for exploitation in cinemas, TV and on subscription video-on-demand platforms.

It also engages in the rental and sales via the Internet video-on-demand (VoD) and electronic sell-through (EST), as well as the sale and rental of physical visual sound carriers Blu-ray and DVD.

The Services segment provides dubbing and audio post-production services; and digitization services for VoD and EST marketing on the internet, as well as for Blu-ray and DVD productions.

Splendid Medien AG was founded in 1974 and is based in Cologne, Germany.
