Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG, together with its subsidiaries, engages in engineering, contracting, and construction businesses in the Sultanate of Oman and Abu Dhabi.

It operates through four segments: Construction, Manufacturing, Hiring of Equipment, and Training of Personnel.

The company constructs a range of projects, including palaces, commercial establishments, housing complexes, educational institutions, hospitals, monuments, religious structures, stadiums, showrooms, telephone exchanges, and residences.

It also provides design, civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation services for oil and gas pipelines and flow lines; construction of oil storage tanks, gathering stations, enhance oil recovery projects, and compressor stations; and design and construction of power transmission systems.

In addition, the company constructs railways, roads, bridges, dams, seaports, airports, and water and wastewater transmissions; and provides operation and maintenance of water transmission networks, infrastructure works of industrial parks and refineries, and large- scale earthmoving projects.

Further, it is involved in hiring equipment; training services; engineering, procurement, and construction consultancy services; public health engineering; production and sale of ready-mix concrete products; electrical and HVAC services; and plumbing and maintenance contracts.
