About DBELX

DoubleLine Emerging Markets Local Currency Bond Fund Class I is a mutual fund that seeks high total return through current income and capital appreciation. It invests principally in bonds issued by entities in emerging market countries, denominated in local non-U.S. currencies. These include sovereign debt, quasi-sovereign obligations from governmental agencies, supranational bonds, and securities from private non-governmental issuers. The portfolio encompasses fixed or variable rate bonds of any maturity, along with government and private high yield debt, inflation-indexed securities, bank loans, and hybrid securities. The fund employs a strategy blending top-down global macro analysis, informed by monthly asset allocation meetings, with bottom-up fundamental research on countries and companies. This approach screens regions for market structure, liquidity, and rule of law, followed by in-depth analysis and active portfolio construction across countries, regions, and sectors. Selective exposure to local corporate bonds aims to enhance yield and potential returns. Managed by an experienced team at DoubleLine, the Class I shares target institutional investors with a higher minimum investment threshold.
