It also provides wired and fixed wireless broadband services, wireline voice and data communication services, wireless and data communication services, technical and IT consulting services, cloud software development and consulting services, data management services, warehouse and logistics services, and ebook solutions.

In addition, the company is involved in marketing and distribution activities, provision of support and shared services, venture capital, advertising, distribution, land holding, and tower activities, management of capital investment funds, application-to-person messaging, human capital management services, telco equipment administration and maintenance, information technology and software development, and electronic services.

The company was formerly known as GMCR, Inc. and changed its name to Globe Telecom, Inc. in August 1998.

Globe Telecom, Inc. was incorporated in 1935 and is headquartered in Taguig City, the Philippines.
