It offers steel products, including automotive, engineering machinery, energy, machinery industry, rail transit, mining, and ship anchor chain steel products; casting round billets; gear products, such as automobile engine, gearbox, rear axle, spiral bevel, commercial vehicle, and new energy vehicle gears; and hot-rolled round and flat steel products.

The company also provides heavy and thick plates, hot-rolled plates, cold-rolled plates, ultra-thin strips, high-speed wire rods, large coiled wire rods, and ribbed rebars under the Shagang brand.

Its products are used in aerospace, marine engineering, high-rise buildings, bridges, pipelines, petrochemicals, automotive, home appliances, and food packaging industries.

In addition, the company is involved in steel trading; sale of gasoline, diesel, and lubricant; development and sale of real estate; pellet processing; processing and recycling of renewable resources; asset management and investment management activities; and the production and sale of ground slag powder and slag cement, as well as bearings and transmission components.

Further, it provides installation, construction, and decoration services, as well as hotel services. Additionally, the company exports its products to 90 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, and Africa.

The company was formerly known as Jiangsu Huaigang Group Co. Ltd. Jiangsu Shagang Co., Ltd. was founded in 1970 and is headquartered in Zhangjiagang, China.
