The company is involved in coal-fired power generation and gas-fired power generation; development, production, and processing of fly ash; sale of steam and hot water; general cargo loading and unloading; warehousing services within the port area; freight distribution; power generation equipment installation and maintenance; commodity distribution; engineering construction; property management; water production and supply; procurement, storage, transportation, and sale of fuel for electricity and natural gas; procurement, transmission, and distribution of electricity; coal and natural gas trading; investment and consulting services for energy projects, such as coal financing; thermal power equipment installation and technical services; wholesale and retail of coal; and investment, development, and operation of new energy projects.

It also provides financial services, such as industrial finance, consumer finance, securities trusts, family trusts, equity investment, and financial management; debt investment, securities investment, asset securitization, asset management, wealth management, and asset allocation; and funds, asset trusts, and investment funds.

As of December 31, 2025, the company operated a total installed capacity of 22,509 MW, which includes 17,837 MW from coal-fired units, 2,592 MW from gas-fired units, and 2,080 MW from units under construction.

The company was formerly known as Sainty Marine Corporation Ltd. and changed its name to Jiangsu Guoxin Corp. Ltd. in March 2017.
