It invests in public equity markets of global region. The fund invests in stocks of companies operating across energy, oil, gas and consumable fuels, industrials, capital goods, construction and engineering, electrical equipment, heavy electrical equipment, transportation, transportation infrastructure, airport services, highways and railtracks, marine ports and services, utilities, electric gas utilities, multi-utilities, water utilities, oil and gas storage and transportation sectors. It invests in growth and value stocks of companies across diversified market capitalization. The fund seeks to track the performance of the Manulife Asset Management Global Infrastructure Index, by using full replication technique. iShares Global Infrastructure Index ETF was formed on August 27, 2008 and is domiciled in Canada.
