It also engages in water production and supply; ecological protection and environmental governance; electricity production; coal washing; trading; e-commerce; water treatment; logistics and transportation; investment management; business services; and chemical products wholesale activities.

The company was formerly known as Inner Mongolia Yuan Xing Energy Company Limited and changed its name to Inner Mongolia Berun Chemical Company Limited in May 2025.
