The company offers storage, transport, sorting, and picking systems to distributors and manufacturers, including e-commerce, retailers, wholesalers, transportation, and warehousing customers, as well as to food, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals manufacturers.

It also provides cleanroom transport and storage systems for the manufacturing of semiconductors and flat panel displays; systems for automobile production line systems; airport solutions, including baggage handling systems, automated baggage check-in systems, baggage screening systems, and software and controls; car wash machines and related products to filling stations and automobile dealers; and industrial computers, measuring/control systems, and IoT solutions.

The company was formerly known as Daifuku Machinery Works Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Daifuku Co., Ltd. in 1984.
